Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the first time one movie will sling its web across multiple worlds on the big screen. It’s the perfect introduction to the lesser-known Spider-stories – and it’s destined to be a swing and a hit.
Based on the comic book characters created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli in 2011, the film centers on the adventures of African-American/Puerto Rican Brooklyn teen Miles Morales as he tries to fit in at a new private school in Manhattan.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Six Spider Heroes teaming up together to stop a threat to all reality.
Voiced by Shameik Moore - Miles comes from a Universe where Peter Parker is long dead and is struggling to come to terms with his destiny as the new protector of his city.
Voiced by Jake Johnson - Peter Parker is an alternate version of the Peter Parker of Miles Morales' Universe. With the odd grey hairs, this is the most experienced Spider-Man ever seen on screen and will be mentoring Miles throughout this adventure
Voiced by Hailee Steinfeld - Recently introduced in the comics, Spider-Gwen is the alternate version of the Gwen Stacy we all know from the mainstream comics and Amazing Spider-Man movies where it was her, not Peter Parker that was bitten by a radioactive spider.
Voiced by Nicolas Cage - A Spider-Man from the Great Depression era who originated from the "Noir" comic series which reimagined Marvel heroes in a 1930's Film Noir setting. Sporting a trenchcoat and fedora, this Spider-Man stands out as the least colourful of the bunch.
Voiced by John Mulaney - A Spider-Hero that's bound to leave the other heroes with their jaws on the floor. Peter Porker comes from a Universe where all the Marvel Heroes are represented by animals and is actually a Spider that was bitten by a radioactive Pig!
Voiced by Kimiko Glenn- Introduced in the comic book event of the same name, Peni Parker is a Japanese American student who psychically shares a link with a radioactive spider to power a mech called SP//dr .
